A bit about me…

Art now plays a major part in my life, more than ever before. Over the last year, my life has been through huge change, alongside the global pandemic, that has also impacted so many around the world.

My ability to draw has become the cornerstone of my coping and keeping life in the moment. I am now focusing on my creativity and passion for drawing both for commissions and personal works. My existing collection of personal and commissioned work marks the start of my career as a full time professional artist.

Therefore, by purchasing one of my bespoke prints, or commissioning a built scene, or house, you will not only be gaining a handcrafted piece of Art, but also investing in helping me to draw up a new way forward.

Lago Shop London.jpg

The Lego Shop London - For me this is the most import drawing I have done to date, as with any piece of art there is a meaning or inspiration behind it. This simple shot of my latest freehand comes with bucket loads of meaning, and is a simple thank you to so many people some who I have met & many that I may never, for their part in my Year. To start with, to thank all at @lego who work to keep the brick alive and spread play & enjoyment. However, for me Legos been far more than just that, it’s been along with Art a way of helping me cope, providing a tool when the minds racing and anxiety is high, to slow the mind, allowing me to keep it in the moment focus on the here and now. It’s also be an inspiration for others, when I was in hospital to to get a set & help them build on their recovery. This drawing is also a huge thank you to those @nightingalehospital and S2S for all the amazing work & dedication they put into helping so many. If this post does reach those that have played their part in what has helped me & gives them a feeling of achievement & happiness then that would be fantastic. But if not, I hope it draws a smile or serves as an inspiration to someone looking for a way to dull the nervous thought and anxiety (this year more than any other) as this has really worked for me.
So if you have read this and it’s hit the meaning in which its intended, (as a Dyslexic this is not my strong point!). Then please, share this, so your or someone else may pick up some bricks or their art tool of choice & create something. It may in part help them start to create a healthy way to express felling, increased self-worth & sense of achievement. If this inspires just one person who may be struggling, to help them give it a try and perhaps in part help them build a better 2021 and keep it in the day.

Dream it – Build it – Enjoy it… or Dream it – Draw it - Share it
Lastly thanks to my amazing girlfriend and friends…
Happy New Year and a positive 2021
THANK YOU!
